Shocking Delhi Judge Death: Aman Kumar Sharma Found Dead | Family Alleges Harassment, Investigation Ongoing

A shocking incident has emerged from Safdarjung Enclave, where a 30-year-old judicial officer posted at Karkardooma Courts was found dead at his residence. The Delhi Police suspect suicide, though investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause behind the tragic death.
The deceased, Aman Kumar Sharma, was serving as the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North-East District. His posting has also been confirmed by the Karkardooma Bar Association.
According to police sources, a PCR call was received at the Safdarjung Enclave police station at approximately 1:45 pm. The call was made by his brother-in-law, Shivam, who informed authorities,
“My brother has died by suicide in the bathroom at home.”
Police officials reached Sharma’s residence at Green Park Main soon after. He was found inside the bathroom and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Initial findings suggest death by suicide, reportedly by hanging. Authorities have stated that no signs of foul play have emerged so far, but all possible angles are being thoroughly examined.

Disturbing Family Claims and Allegations
The case has taken a serious turn with troubling allegations made by Sharma’s family. According to a relative citing his father’s statement, Sharma had expressed deep distress shortly before his death. He reportedly called his father around 10 pm the previous night and said,
“I am very troubled, it has become difficult for me to live.”
The father, who was in Alwar, immediately travelled to Delhi and reached the residence around midnight.
Family members have alleged that Sharma had been facing ongoing domestic issues for the past two months. According to them, his wife is also a judicial officer, while her sister is an IAS officer posted in Jammu.
As per the father’s version, Sharma had stated,
“Nidhi Malik has full control in the house, everything happens as per her.”
The family further claimed that attempts to contact the wife’s parents were unsuccessful, as their number was allegedly blocked. A relative from her side was called to intervene but later declined, stating that he could not get involved.
What Happened Inside the House?
The father’s account indicates that an argument had taken place shortly before the incident. Sharma was in one room while his wife was in another.
“She was speaking loudly and Aman was crying,”
a relative said, citing the father’s statement.
When Sharma could not be located later, his phone was dialled, and it rang from inside the bathroom. The door was eventually forced open after accessing it through a window by breaking the glass.
He was found hanging inside, allegedly using a piece of cloth.
